FAQ: Is this program customizable?

 

We have three custom Safe Haven Programs platforms, these platforms are outlined below:

 

The Studio Platform- This platform is the basic Safe Haven structure that offers a support group for victims of sexual assault and a peer advocacy group called the keepers within your organization that helps with prevention and intervention of sexual assault.

The Apartment Platform-This program platform offers a little more than the Studio Platform.  The additional rooms are the Victim Advocate & Counselor and offering some Client Services.

The Home Platform-This program platform offers all the resources that are included in the Safe Haven Program.  The additional room that is added to the Apartment Platform is All Client Services are offered.

FAQ:  What if they lack the staff to run the program?

 

The Safe Haven Program can be used as a whole or in part depending on the needs of your organization.  There is an advocacy part of the program and there is also a part that focuses mainly on connecting victims to resources within their community.

 

 

FAQ: Does Safe Haven encourage prevention

Having a Safe Haven tells predators that they are not safe preying on people in this area.

FAQ:  How to Get Information out Socially about Safe Haven

 

Use websites such as causes.com which is a social campaign website to encourage people to start Safe Haven’s in their community. Also using Social Media platforms to introduce the program.

 

FAQ:  How to Find Volunteers

 

There are several volunteer online resources that are a database of people all over the United States that are looking for volunteer opportunities in their local area.
