Here are some of the ways you can volunteer with I Believe You.Org
Promote I Believe You.org and Safe Haven: Distribute flyers and other informational materials throughout your community. Add links to our resource websites, and discuss or efforts on social media. If you would like to help update our web content, be a contributing writer on our blog or help facilitate our chat room, we need you. If you need promotional information, please email for details.
Educate the Community: There are training opportunities that can educate you on how to become an advocate in your community. Training will be provided through Arkansas Coalition Against Sexual Assault. Our goal is to break down myths, challenge harmful attitudes, advocate for healthy relationships and consent, prevent sexual grooming and abuse, and educate individuals on power abuse. Volunteers must be 18 years old.
Conferences and Events: Throughout the year Ibelieveyou.org may host, partner in hosting or be asked to present information or presentations at different events and conferences. If you have experience working with events, fundraising, and/or marketing and would like to sit on a committee or just volunteer your services we need you.
Become a Keeper: This is an initiative that provides everyone an opportunity to become a peer advocate. A Keeper is a person who is no longer a bystander, acts and responds when they see injustices, doesn’t add to or condone stereotypes about sexual assault, protects their fellow person and reports any issues of abuse that they are aware of, and supports victims by just believing them and being a listening ear.
Start a Safe Haven in Your Community: Are you a service provider, faith leader, professional, non-profit, corporation or other interested community member who would like to help promote sexual assault awareness in your community. Start a Safe Haven program within your organization. The Safe Haven Program is a free Community Advocacy Program that was started to assist other non-profits, state, and national organizations in providing support to victims of sexual assault.
Join a Team in Your Community: If you would like to help a Safe Haven in your community or another existing organization in their efforts to advocate against sexual assault, then we need you. We would love to work with you or assist you in getting connected with advocates in your community. Please provide information about what type of volunteer work you would like to contribute. We also need you to provide information including the state and city you live in so we can find the closet advocate in your area.
For more information, please complete the Volunteer Pre-Application form below and the Volunteer Coordinator will contact you.
